Our People

Hello, My name is Natalie Volmer and I am the proud founder of Millcreek Massage Therapy Inc. which opened its doors in 2006. It was my vision to have a space that valued our clients and encouraged them to discover new modalities that would assist them in relaxing their body, maintaining health, and finding balance. I am a registered Massage Therapist and have also been incredibly fortunate to continue my training in various other modalities (Ortho-Bionomy, Craniosacral). My massage practice incorporates all of my learning and training, creating a wonderfully relaxing healing experience. Every individual who walks through our doors has different needs and desired outcomes from their treatment. I work with my clients to develop a specific treatment plan and assist them in moving towards and maintaining health and balance. Our goal at Millcreek Massage Therapy Inc. is to support our clients in finding and maintaining health and balance. I am so blessed to be working alongside wonderful practitioners that are part of the clinic. If you have any questions or would like to speak with one of our practitioners please do not hesitate to contact us.

Hello,

My name is Anne-Laure Lesoin.  I’ve been working in the Whyte Ave area at Millcreek Massage Therapy Inc , since April 20014.

I am registered as a Osteopathic Manual Therapist; I studied in France to get my Osteopathy Diploma. During these studies, I had internships with Gynecology, ENT and Pain services.  I completed 4200 hours in theory and 2000 practical hours to complete my Diploma. In France, osteopaths are government registered practitioners who complete a minimum of five years' school training in anatomy, physiology, pathology, general medical diagnosis and osteopathic techniques.

The World Health Organisation (WHO) does recognize Osteopathy and their recommendations is for 4000 hours of training. I have taken post-graduate courses, in Osteopathic approach of babies and kids,  courses on breastfeeding, massage and carrying baby, also on Human Embryology.

Osteopathy is a primary health care system, complementary to other medical practices. It is suitable for almost anyone and can contribute to the treatment and management of a wide range of conditions. Osteopaths primarily work through the neuro-musculo-skeletal system, mostly on muscles and joints, using holistic and patient-centred approaches.

A core principle behind osteopathy is the idea that the body is an integrated and indivisible whole, and contains self-healing mechanisms that can be utilized as part of the treatment. No part of the body works, or can be considered, in isolation. Relevant psychological and social factors also form part of the process of patient diagnosis.

The key tools for osteopathic diagnosis include listening to the patient's history, examining muscles and joints and observing movements. X -rays, scans and other clinical investigations are also used if required. A wide range of gentle, non-invasive manual techniques are applied therapeutically.

I look forward to meeting and working with you.
